The Texas Burlesque Festival returns May 13–15, 2027, for a milestone 20th anniversary celebration, bringing three nights of dazzling performance, outrageous comedy, classic tease, and boundary-pushing variety to Austin.
Founded in 2007, the Texas Burlesque Festival has spent two decades bringing together performers and audiences from across Texas, the United States, and around the world to celebrate the creativity, spectacle, humor, and ever-evolving art of burlesque.
Part hoedown, part showdown, and always a celebration, TXBF embraces the raucous revival of burlesque, vaudeville, cabaret, and the accompanying et cetera. The Festival creates a space where seasoned performers and rising artists can share a stage, exchange ideas, build relationships, refine their craft, and inspire one another.
And there’s plenty for audiences to enjoy.
Whether you’ve been cheering from the seats for years or are experiencing burlesque for the very first time, expect something unexpected around every corner. Performances span classic glove-and-garter peels and glamorous bump-and-grind, inventive comedy, theatrical spectacle, variety arts, and wildly creative takes on pop culture.
Unlike most theatre, enthusiastic participation is encouraged. Hoot. Holler. Cheer. Let the performers know you love what you see.
Beyond the stage, Festival weekend offers opportunities for the burlesque community to connect through workshops, social gatherings, educational programming, and other events designed to bring artists and enthusiasts together. With a full bar, on-site vendors, a photo booth, and three nights of performances, TXBF invites performers, producers, burlesque lovers, and curious newcomers alike to celebrate 20 years of tease in Texas—and the community that made it possible.
For its 20th anniversary, the Festival is also proud to continue providing ASL interpretation for all three nights, supporting greater access to the celebration.

Our Mission
The Texas Burlesque Festival connects performers and communities from across Texas, the nation, and the world through the celebration of burlesque and vaudeville. By creating opportunities for artists to network, share their work, and inspire one another, the Festival strengthens the Texas burlesque community while building connections with the broader global community.
Through first-class live performance, education, and community-building, we celebrate the creativity, diversity, and artistry of burlesque while introducing audiences throughout Austin and Texas to the many forms this ever-evolving art can take.

The Texas Burlesque Festival is produced by Texas Burlesque Productions, a Texas not-for-profit corporation dedicated to celebrating the renaissance of burlesque, cabaret, vaudeville, and related performance arts.
Texas Burlesque Productions celebrates the diverse and eclectic nature of these art forms and the artists who bring them to life while fostering a supportive community among performers in Texas, across the United States, and around the world through networking, educational opportunities, and professional performance.
Code of Conduct
Texas Burlesque Productions / The Texas Burlesque Festival is a member of the Austin Burlesque Alliance and share a mutual commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees, performers, and staff of all events we produce or support. Any person attending, performing, volunteering, staffing or participating in any event we produce agrees to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
- Treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, or any other characteristic. Respect all personal boundaries related to the individual and their personal property at all time. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, negative criticism or shaming of any kind , will not be tolerated.
- Always obtain explicit, enthusiastic consent before any form of touching or interacting with another person in any way. Do not assume that someone wants to be touched or involved in any kind of physical activity. Respect the personal boundaries of others. Do not touch or engage with someone without their explicit consent. If someone says no, stop immediately and respect their wishes.
- Use language that is inclusive, respectful, and appropriate for all listeners. Avoid using derogatory, discriminatory, or hateful language of any kind.
- Venue/Event Rules and Guidelines: Any and all attendees, performers, staff and volunteers are expected to follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the event organizers and venue staff. Failure to do so may result in removal from the event.
- Report violations: If you witness or experience any violations of this code of conduct, please report them to event staff or security personnel immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly and could result in immediate expulsion from the event.

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge, with respect, that the land we are on is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Tonkawa, the Apache, the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, the Lipan Apache Tribe, the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians, the Coahuitlecan and all other tribes not explicitly stated. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge and pay respects to all the American Indian and Indigenous Peoples and communities who have been or have become a part of these lands and territories in Texas, here on Turtle Island. Not all indigenous peoples listed claim Texas as ancestral lands, as many were forcibly relocated to Texas from their ancestral homelands. In acknowledging this land and the Indigenous People who are inextricably connected to it, we acknowledge the need to continue learning about, celebrating, and being mindful of the Land and the Indigenous Peoples connected to it. We acknowledge the need to continue the work of decolonization and learn from and honor, with gratitude and appreciation, the Indigenous Peoples of this land. We can do this by learning and by actively and intentionally including and inviting Indigenous voices, narratives, representation, and people into our work.
